Exciting news for brides is that the wedding industry has wasted no time in following the rest of retailing by opening up one-stop superstores for “nearly weds”. These are large showrooms that offer a myriad of products and services from bridal gowns and invitations to tuxedos and photographers. These showrooms have become invaluable resources where a bride can spend a few hours answering most of her bridal questions in one convenient location… instead of days traveling from place to place.
The supercenters combine the efforts of individual merchants and have a large array of products and services. All this at no cost to the bride! Some larger centers also have the bridalwear and men’s formalwear stores right on the premises. A few even offer alternatives for bridal fashions, such as bridal and bridesmaids gown rentals (instead of the usual purchasing). This is also a new trend in today’s price conscious environment. Brides can save a great deal of money for themselves and members of their wedding party by renting. They get the styles they want at a fraction of the price they would spend to purchase.
Our suggestion for brides on the go (and what brides aren’t these days?)… Look for one of these bridal superstores and give it a try. The atmosphere is usually very pleasant and low pressure. For a busy bride, it’s amazing how much can be accomplished by visiting just one location. It’s even worth a little drive to find so many services all together. As for new trends, this is certainly one who’s time has come!
